I’ve downloaded Songbird at several points in their dev. time, and I think it’s really slugish, things don’t work right, and it’s kinda like Flock. Good idea, bad execution.

I’m noticing that too, just now; moments ago. I’m shifting through my Massive Attack tracks and its getting slower, minimizing the window now takes five or more seconds. It’s a developer preview keep in mind, they’ve done wonders just getting it to the stage it is now.

I’m going to figure this one out, xulrunner is eating up just over sixty megabytes which should be fine. Could having another Firefox instance running at the same time be interfering?

I never knew of Flock, the preview looks great on first impression. I’ll download it. I’m curious as to what’s wrong with it?

I’ve fun Songbird simultaneously with Firefox, and without it, no affect on performance.
I used flock for a while, loved the simplicity of writing and posting, but the interface overall was just slugish (just like Songbird is now).
I know it’s still dev. preview, (Flock is still beta), but I don’t think they’ll be able to fix the slow interface.

Hm, that doesn’t sound good. What other applications are there that use Firefox as it’s foundation, are they all sluggish. Surely Mozilla developers are aware of this? For that matter why isn’t Firefox sluggish?

^^ You’re up in the top right corner too ‘friend’. :D ^^
